Many Indian celebrities and big corporations have been advocating to spread awareness about breast cancer and a few of these stunning woman from Bollywood personally fought it as well. These women became an inspiration to many others as they gave hope and strength to battle with breast cancer as well.
Here are 5 Indian celebrities who fought with breast cancer:
Mahima Chaudhry.
Pardes movie actress, Mahima Chaudhry, was diagnosed and recovered from Breast cancer in 2022. The actress also talked about her illness and journey to recovery on The Kapil Sharma Show.
Hina Khan.
Hina Khan is the newest entry in the list of celebrities with breast cancer. Ranked among one of the highest paid Indian TV actresses – who marked her presence in Bollywood, Punjabi films and OTT as well – was diagnosed with Stage Three Breast Cancer in 2024. The actress is now undergoing chemotherapy and has cut her hair to avoid the trauma of loosing her hair in pieces.
Barbara Mori.
You remember Barbara Mori from Hrithik Roshan movie Kites? The actress became a crush of many after her appearance in the film. She was diagnosed with breast cancer at an early stage and is a survivor now.
Tahira Kashyap.
Tahira Kashyap, an author turned film director and wife or actor Ayushmann Khurrana, is also a survivor of breast cancer.
Mumtaz.
Veteran actress – Mumtaz, known for Bandhan, Tere Mere Sapne, Hare Rama Hare Krishna and Roti, was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 54. The 76-year-old is now cancer free.
