5 most awaited movie sequels

Movie sequels were not a very common thing in Bollywood before the franchises like Dhoom and Golmaal. Now the filmmakers are trying to come up with stories which can lead on for a sequel too. However there are movies like Golmaal franchise which have a complete different story line from it’s earlier release. But hey! if it’s entertaining then it’s good, right?

 Here are our picks for the movie sequels that we think we want to see for sure.

Dhoom – 4

The one franchise which really brought the idea of movie franchise in India is Dhoom. Made under the biggest production house in India, Yash Raj, the movie followed the same story line about two cops chasing a bad guy and. Either it was John Abraham in Dhoom – 1, Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom – 2 or Mr. Perfectionist, Amir Khan in Dhoom – 3, the audience didn’t seem to disappoint the producers. We may be sure that it’s gonna be another cat and mouse chase in next sequel but we are more excited about who is gonna be the next bad guy in this this franchise.

Don – 3

Amitabh Bachchan surely is the original Don and no one can beat the classics, but Shahrukh really did take the movie to a new heights with his bad guy image and good charms. The movie turned out so good that we get to see Don – 2, which was a big critical and commercial hit. A screen play and car chase scenes along with Boman Irani’s great acting and Priyanka sexy cop avatar really made us to wish for the next sequel.


Golmaal – 4

Rohit Shetty, the man behind the Golmaal franchise made us laugh by bringing something simple and light hearted. While other directors decided to with a little under the belt bringing adult comedies, Rohit stuck to his vision and included a wider range of audience from kids to grandparents to watch a comedy together. The franchise has three movies right now and they are very different from each other but offer the same dose of entertainment, except maybe the second installment in my personal opinion. The third sequel included the legend <ithun Chakraborty and great Ratna Phatak. Ajay, Kareena, and Arshad were as good as in the previous sequels, and we hope we see Vasooli again in future installments of this franchise.

Race – 3

The director duo Abbas-Mastaan are the kings of action films in bollywood and Race franchise is one of their master pieces. Saif’ Ali Khan’s royal charismatic looks and action scenes along with Anil Kapoor’s light jokes seems to work really good. This is Khan’s one of the most successful movies too. The franchise is know for it’s twists and we want to see more twists in the next film.

Gaangs of Wasseypur – 3

Gangs of waseeypur might have faced some controversies because of it’s abusive language but the film was a major hit. While small budget movies don’t really reach to a wider audience or gain much commercial success, this franchise proved it wrong and the director released the sequel just three months after the first film. The film did really good both critically and commercially. Manoj Bajpayee and Nawajuddin Siddiquie played their parts very well and collected many awards. We hope for the next sequel to come out soon.
