Sunny Leone was already a big name on internet before she joined Bigg Boss, but the controversial Indian reality TV show earned her more popularity in mainstream media and she went on to make her Bollywood debut with Jism 2. The actress did several item songs, hosted Splitsvilla, appeared in more Bollywood films and also had a series titled, Karenjit Kaur – The Untold Story of Sunny Leone, made on her life.
Elli Avrram.
Elli Avrram also bagged a few Bollywood films after appearing in Bigg Boss. She appeared in Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karun, Micky Virus and gained more love for her roles in Ther Verdict – State VS Nanavati, Inside Edge and Malang. The actress also did several item songs.
Nora Fatehi.
Nora Fatehi have a come long way from appearing as contestant in Bigg Boss to being a global star. Post Bigg Boss this belly dancer did several item songs and dance numbers and emerged as the new dancing sensation of Bollywood. The actress then went on to show her acting and singing skills in films and music videos and is now a global star.
Monalisa.
Monalisa, the Bhojpuri film superstar, joined Bigg Boss and retired from the regional film industry as she wasn’t getting much work. Post Bigg Boss, the actress went on to join Indian TV serial and won the fans with her role in Nazar. She then made her OTT debut and appeared in several web series like Dupur Thaurpo 2, Ratri Ke Yatri, Hasratein and more.
Shehnaaz Gill.
Shehnaaz Gill gained much popularity with Bigg Boss. The actress went on to make her Bollywood debut and gained much lime light for her glamorous transformation on the red carpet.
Here we only looked at the contestants who achieved more fame and success after appearing in Bigg Boss, so contestants like Hina Khan and Rubina Dilaik are excluded as they were established top actresses of Indian TV.
