Model and actress Sonika Chauhan died in a car accident this Saturday morning. She was travelling with friend and actor Vikram Chatterjee in a Toyota Corolla Altis, which hit the divider and climbed the pavement on Rashbehahi Avenue. Both actors were rushed to the hospital by the bystanders but it was too late for the actress.

Doctors confirmed her death around 5 am, while Chatterjee had some head injuries but was released from the hospital.

Sonika has been featured in many ad shoots and recently gained fame as emcee. She is known for her sports anchoring too.
