As an actress, playback singer, music composer and film director Noor Jehan (Stage Name) was very popular in British india. After the partiton she moved to pakistan with her Family and continued her work. She got love from both countries and had millions of fan across the India as well as Pakistan.
From Baby Noor Jehan to Madam Noor jehan he career lasted almost six decade long.people call her by several names like Madam ji, Malika E Tarannum and Allah Rakha Wasai.
She died in 23 December 2000 at Lahor Due to heart failure.
She has sung over 18000 songs in Hindi, Urdu, Sindhi And Punjabi. She was first female film Direrctor in Pakistan.
