Taapsee Pannu is addressing a social issue of Domestic Violance in Thappad directed by Anubhav Sinha – watch the trailer.
The trailer of Thappad is out and it seems to be getting positive reviews from audience. Featuring Taapsee Pannu, the movie is based on domestic violance but it’s about just one slap, but who gives someone a right to slap their better half, right?
Taapsee plays the role of the wife named Amrita who files for a case and asks for divorce after her husband slaps her in a party. While many of her family and friends tell her it’s just a slap and she should move on, Amrita takes a stand which leads the story.
The movie also features Ratna Pathak Shah, Tanvi Azmi, Dia Mirza and Ram Kapoor. Like in the movie many people on social media are also not talking in the favor of the film as well saying such over powered feminism movies will increase the rate of divorces.
Written and directed by Anubhav Sinha, the film is set to release on Feb 28th 2020.
