Dilip Kumar was a renowned Bollywood actor who was admired for his good looks, naturalistic acting style, deep voice, and distinctive accent. Some lesser-known details about him are as follows:

Dilip Kumar was born on December 11, 1922 in Peshawar, British India (currently Pakistan) and his real name was Muhammad Yusuf Khan .
On the advice of Hindi film icon Devika Rani, who had hired him for Bombay Talkies, he changed his name to Dilip Kumar.
Mughal-E-Azam actor was one of the first actors of Pakistan to enter Bollywood.
He made his acting debut in the 1944 movie Jwar Bhata, but it wasn’t until the 1947 movie Jugnu that he enjoyed a commercial success.
He rose to fame in Mehboob Khan’s 1949 film Andaz, in which he co-starred with Raj Kapoor.
The only actor to play triple role in a single film was Dilip Kumar. He performed the dual roles of twins who were split up at birth and a third character who impersonated one of the twins in the 1967 film Ram Aur Shyam.
Because of his roles in tragic movies like Ganga Jamuna, Mughal-e-Azam, and Devdas, he was dubbed the “Tragedy King.”
Dilip Kumar was married to actress Saira Banu, who was 22 years younger than him. The duo stayed together for 50 years until he left the work mourning for him in 2021.
Among the honors he received were the Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan, and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest honor in Indian cinema.
